Bio

I'm a .NET developer and trainer, doing some consulting work for a few companies in Portugal.

Being completely passionate about software development and aspiring software craftsman, I'm particularly interested in software development best practices and research projects to discover and use new technologies in modern software development.

I used to have a huge passion on developing software for mobile devices and for many years I was completely addicted to the Palm OS platform, and even tried to make a living out of that passion, but didn't succeed.

As a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 2004, I've been teaching classes on several Microsoft products and technologies as a part-time job and keeping myself up-to-date with the newer versions every day.

I'm a very community focused person, and I have been an active member of several user groups, on-line technical communities and forums in Portugal and overseas, having also participated in a number of speaking engagements on community and Microsoft events such as TechDays ( http://www.techdays2010.com/Event/Speaker/Details/caio-proiete ).

In recognition of my commitment on sharing my knowledge, experience, and objective feedback to technical communities, Microsoft has honored me with the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for two years in a row, 2009 and 2010 ( https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Caio.Proiete ).
