Creating Hi-Resolution Photo Galleries for the Web using Deepzoom
Abstract
What do Playboy, HardRock and Renault have in common? They all have extremely beautiful items and they want to show them on the web. In this session, we’ll see how the Deep Zoom technology made it possible for these brands to show their collections on the web with high resolution images, taking the user experience to a whole new level and disposing of the size problems usually associated with high quality images in the web. We will learn how to add information to Deep Zoom images and how Super Bock used this technology to create a cinema search engine with an innovating navigation experience. We’ll talk about the tools, APIs, how it works under the hood and some best-practices.

Bring it on and we’ll use existing tools to create a high quality gallery with them. How would you like to “say cheese!”? Imagination is the limit here!
