Pond - The social network aggregator and publisher
Pond is a new social network aggregator and publisher.
It takes a new and more user friendly approach at connecting networks among themselves, by allowing users to experience the full Pondness regardless of their friends being Pond users.
The powerful API allows you to publish short and long text, photos and videos to several networks at the same time, aggregate friends, filter by service or entity and several other things.
This talk will describe the inner workings of the platform and how to use the API to create your own clients. Connectors creation for your own social network will also be discussed.

Gus is a member of the Pond team.
During the past year he's been deeply involved in a tech team that uses Perl, PHP, Java, C++, coffee, Objective-C, JavaScript, Ruby and large quantities of sushi to create a completely new social network aggregator and publisher.
Prior to that he was happily involved in other projects at SAPO, until he and Pedro had the bad idea of explaining their great idea to the people that could make it happen.
Soon after he was surrounded by a team of 6 and a large project plan on the wall.
They say he rarely sleeps, nowadays. (more)
