I have a MSc in Computer Engeneering from the University of Coimbra.
I love programming: C, C , Java, Python, OpenGL
I'm becoming unbeatable at Mario Karts on Wii, love my bSNES Teh Emulathor, in which I play Super Mario World and TLoZelda.

This year I got to work with neural networks and genetic algorithms. The project I worked on consisted in developing a system which should be capable of detecting changes in a EEG sample that indicate the upcoming of seizures some time before their onset. I used a relatively new library, PyBrain, which is still being perfected but is already a very important tool in this field. My favourite advantage of PyBrain is that it allows me to use something other than MATLAB (do not want!!!!!).

My biggest project so far was Projecto Limpar Portugal. I was one of the national coordinators of the project and was also coordinating the whole district of Coimbra. This was an example of how a joke between some friends which started on the Internet became a huge national event that reached 100.000 people and which accomplished a cleanup of 50.000 tons of garbage from our forests. This is the Internet showing us it's real power! :)
