Bio
Well, haven't been doing much that can be "publicly" seen from the outside. I work in image processing/machine vision, in both PC and embedded custom-designed hardware, using a mix of different technologies and languages from C# to Assembler.
For the web, I mostly do freelance work, and although I have lots of projects in mind, the time to implement it hasn't been much.
My highest profile web work is probably www.1dayfly.nl , an online shop I had to "optimize" based on an existing -and completely unappropriated - system.
Safe to say, I consider it the perfect example of how good programming can overcome many limitations: the site has over 40k page views per day, over 70k registered users, and thousands of transactions daily... Nothing that "amazing", until you consider the site is still based on a *single* MDB access database! (Don't blame me, I didn't have a choice in that matter! I just "made it work". :)
As for web technologies, I'm a big fan of javascript (which I expect to have an increasingly major role in the future) and try to keep up with what's around (though I'm only "fluent" in ASP, PHP, Javascript - lack of time again keeps me from delving deeper into Python and sorts. Hence my interest in attending Codebits to have a better idea of what can be accomplished with these newer technologies.
Thanks.
