Bio

I was born and raised in the south of Portugal, most specifically in Vila Real de Santo António and it's surroundings. For a few years I lived and studied at Faro, Informatics Engineering at the University of Algarve (well, in a way, I still do, since I don't really have my degree yet). Even before going to college, I started playing around with webdevelopment, and while at Faro, I took it seriously. Worked at a couple of small IT and design companies, freelanced and tried to start something with friends. Before we had the chance to get a proper company up and running, I got an opportunity to work at SAPO, and I took it. For more than a year now I've been part of the JavaScript team. I build reusable components (mostly for our own LibSAPO.js), help others with JS related stuff, and support specific projects when needed.

I'm passionate about the web and the webstandards movement and I like things done the proper way. Other than the frontend web stuff, I like Python, Django, git, vim, zsh, OSX, Ubuntu, Debian, and mostly Open Source software.

I'm also a huge music fan and I spend way too much of my time listening to music and finding out about new stuff.
