What is meditation? What can it do for me? What's the relation to programming?
Most of us can't go on a day without eating or sleeping. However, we neglect the mind at all times. Software developers know about the "flow", a state of mind when you are relaxed yet focused on the activity at hand, ie, programming. However, it goes away as easily as it comes. Why is that?
In this talk we will explore the historical background of meditation, what is exactly meditation, how can we apply its principles to everyday life,
and perhaps most importantly how it can help in such a mentally demanding activity such as software development in a very concrete and practical way.
By the end, I hope at least some of you will want to learn and practice (some kind of) meditation.
