Abstract

Docker is one of the most hyped tech of 2013 there's no doubt.
I had the luck of having a cool use case (nodechecker.com) for Docker very early, making me jump into the Docker bandwagon still in v0.3.x.

Nodechecker tests all modules in NPM using containers, spawning thousands of containers daily.
Doing something like this with a project that was still giving it's first steps resulted in a few funny stories which I shared at require('lx')

In the process I've been involved in other Docker related projects and a few opensource projects were born like, dockerode which is currently one of the top Node.js modules for Docker and docker-modem which is the network stack for docker.io and dockerode node modules.

Talk topics:
1. Give an intro about Docker (what it is, how it works and how can you architect around it)
2. Using Docker in production (using nodechecker as example), tricks and quirks learned the hard way.
3. Other projects using Docker in production I've been involved with. (projects info will be strictly technical, there will be no commercial info nor even names in some cases)
4. Recent development.

From the implementation standpoint there will be focus on Node.js on this talk.

 Super eager to see this! I've been following Pedro's work in Docker for a while and I pretty much think the abstract is currently super modest, I've high expectations for this one, I'm sure it will be awesome! :D

You got me with two keywords, node and Docker, didn't even care about the rest of the abstract :P jk

I'm starting to learn how to use Docker, and as big fan of Node.js this sounds really interesting.
