Abstract

If you are an Android developer or your company has an Android app, you should know beforehand the best practices in Android app roll-out. It will help you to be more efficient in reaching your users.

But do you really know about it? For instance:

What is the most popular Android Apps / Games category ?
What is the average size of an App in Android ? Does the size of the App matters ? What is an OBB file ?
How many apps per week do an Android user downloads ?
How often are popular Apps in Android updated ?
Does the description / keywords matters ?

Aptoide is one of the most popular Android marketplaces with more than 4.5 million Monthly Active Users (MAU) and 500 million downloads per year.
Using Aptoide stats and after some number crunching, I will answer the above questions and many more.
In the end of the talk, you should know more about the Android trends and I hope it will help you on your Android roll-out decisions.

Seems pretty interesting. Being mainly an iOS developer I always struggle with this kind of things when porting to android.
